This is the first graphic novel I’ve read in my adult age and it made me discover this amazing world. The story is bold, with it’s unique twist on such a traditional character it offers a revisitation on a classic theme that it is intriguing and fascinating. It is not just a read, it is an immersive experience, delivered through wittingly great writing and beautiful art.

I thought it was an incredible read and that’s from someone who doesn’t read! Highly recommend if you want a dark and twisted portrayal of Christmas.

  3. Maxwell

My first foray into the pyrose collection. A really impressive graphic novel with an original storyline and some brilliant artwork. Highly recommended

  4. Harrison

A terrific, gory, Christmas themed revenge story. Terrific fight scenes, beautifully illustrated and characters that are both loveable and capable.
This is just my cup of tea!

What a breath of fresh air! I was getting so tired of the traditional Christmas stories. Just like with everything in “pop culture” nowadays, everything just seems to be a like-for-like reboot or an awful sequel. But Winter Solstice has opened my eyes up to what an original and unique twist to a classic really is! Let alone the insane visuals to go perfectly along with great story telling and such great characters. Can’t wait for the next one! Hope Good Ol’ Saint Nic gets whats coming to him!

  6. Jas M

Ahhh this was great so many elements to this novel!!! I mean if you took the supernatural out of it what a compelling thriller this would make but what an amazing twist to the character of Santa and his elves. The author really captured the sinister nature of “what could be” if Santa’s ruled his elves with an iron fist! Pick it up it’s a great one-shot hope this story gets expanded or more novels come out of this series! Love it!

This was my first graphic novel and it didn’t disappoint! Clever, imaginative and really well written. Looking forward to my next read!
